CPR, First Aid and AED – Texas

The CPR, First Aid and AED seminar is designed to teach basic knowledge, skills and training related to basic first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED). The course is also designed to give students the confidence to respond to adult, child and infant emergencies.

The CPR, First Aid and AED class is consistent with recommendations of the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s best practices for first aid training programs in the workplace. The class specifically covers the following topics:

  • Recognizing an Emergency
  • Personal Safety
  • Disease Transmission and Universal Precautions
  • Assessment
  • Soft Tissue Injuries
  • Muscle and Bone Injuries
  • Sudden Cardiac Arrest
  • Rescue breathing
  • CPR
  • Defibrillation

The class is designed to be appropriate for all levels of an organization as well as for individuals seeking to improve their knowledge of basic first aid.
