Steven M. Barnhardt, Jr. is the Vice President – Corporate Development of National Trench Safety (NTS). Prior to being appointed to his current position, Mr. Barnhardt served as NTS’ Marketing & Communications Director. Before joining, NTS Mr. Barnhardt worked for Coble Trench Safety (CTS) in a managerial capacity. CTS was a regional trench safety firm with 11 branch locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast states. While at CTS, Mr. Barnhardt oversaw the marketing, information technology and purchasing functions for the company. Additionally, Mr. Barnhardt performed financial analysis and benchmarking, providing support in those areas to the company’s president. Mr. Barnhardt was a member of the company’s management team participating in periodic financial and operational discussions, as well as discussions related to the company’s eventual sale.
Mr. Barnhardt earned a B.A. in Economics degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additionally, Mr. Barnhardt holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Elon University and a Masters of Accountancy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
