Temporary Composite Mat Provides Necessary Protection for Lawn

Job Story 002 (1)A contractor was performing restoration services as part of a $1.5 million contract with the state of Utah. For this specific phase of the contract, the contractor needed to bring heavy equipment to the monument being restored while also minimizing damage to the heavily landscaped lawn to prevent costly restoration.

The contractor discussed the desire to minimize site disturbance with NTS. There were a few options available, however, the contractor elected to use lightweight composite mats. The mats provided sufficient support and protection for the lawn and also were lightweight enough that the contractor could easily position and relocate the mats by hand.

In addition to the mats, the contractor also rented curb ramps which serve as a convenient way to bring vehicles or equipment over an existing curb while preventing damage.
