OSHA requires that any company involved in excavation, trenching, shoring, sheeting, or underground construction activities have a “Competent Person” supervising the job. This competent person is responsible for overseeing underground activities, excavation safety, and site safety around the excavation.
National Trench Safety provides “Competent Person” training that meets the OSHA criteria and gives supervisors the information and training they need to ensure their job site is safe.
