A Nevada university hosted a presidential debate in October and needed to protect its grounds from the set-up and traffic associated with hosting a presidential debate. The representative charged with the project had contacted NTS to discuss potential options with NTS’s ground mats the perfect solution for this application.

The mats would provide protection to the grass in the courtyards, as well as underground water lines, from trucks driving on and off the grass as the stages and equipment were set up. Coordination was needed with the media outlets to ensure the ground mats supplied would be capable of supporting the footprint of the stages each outlet would be bringing. The mats performed very well supporting the stages weighing roughly 26,000 pounds and at the end of the five-day duration there had been no long-term damage to the grass or water lines as a result of having hosted the event.
