Confined Space General Industry
The Confined Space General Industry seminar is designed to provide students with an awareness of the 1910.146 standard, specifically the safe management of permit required confined space entry. For those employees that will be working in confined spaces, the class will also address duties and responsibilities of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) required positions.
The Confined Space General Industry class is designed to increase knowledge and awareness of hazards associated with permit required confined space entry. The class also covers the following topics:
- 1910.146 OSHA Standard for Confined Space Entry
- Hazards with Confined Spaces
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ventilation Requirements
- Atmospheric Testing and Equipment
- Duties and Responsibilities of the Entrant, Attendant and Supervisor
- Hands-on Confined Space Equipment Training Including Gas Detection Monitors and Ventilation Equipment
The class is designed to benefit employees at all levels of an organization including senior management, safety professionals, project managers, project estimators, project superintendents, project foremen and laborers engaged in projects related to confined space entry.
