HOUSTON, T.X.-National Trench Safety, LLC (NTS), a Houston-based company specializing in the rental and sales of trench and traffic safety equipment, as well as OSHA-compliant training classes, announced today that it has opened a new branch operation in Charleston, South Carolina.

“We are very excited about our new Charleston operation,” said Ron Chilton, President of NTS. “Charleston represents our first branch operation on the East Coast. The greater Charleston metropolitan area represents a key strategic market for NTS as we continue to serve our existing customer base, while reaching out to new customers on the East Coast.”

The Charleston branch will be managed by Brian McDonald, a trench safety equipment veteran with 16+ years of experience within the industry. “We are very fortunate to have someone of Brian’s caliber managing our Charleston facility,” commented Ron Chilton. “Brian has a great understanding of the trench safety products, the North and South Carolina markets and will be a big asset to our customers.”

The Charleston branch is the 13th branch operation for National Trench Safety in the United States. NTS now has operations in Arizona, California, Louisiana, Nevada, South Carolina, Texas and Utah.

In maintaining the objective of building a nationwide network of trench and traffic safety branches, NTS plans to open at least two additional new branch operations in 2012 with additional branches planned to follow in 2013. For strategic reasons, Chilton declined to comment on the location of the additional new branches. For more information about NTS, visit the National Trench Safety website at ntsafety.wpengine.com.
